help - my clothes are getting too tight !

By monica • December 13th, 2009

for most americans december means gaining means a lot of things and usually includes gaining weight.  some studies even show that the average person gains about 3-4 pounds during the holiday season.

those special christmas parties and desserts look and taste so good…but if we’re not careful by december 31st our clothes will be “too tight”.  for most of my adult life january 1st usually meant weight loss as a new year’s resolution and also wearing what i considered to be my ” fat clothes”.

the truth is you can enjoy holiday parties, special recipes and even christmas cookies and not gain any weight.  i know it sounds impossible but you don’t have to gain any weight this holiday season.  here are a few simple tips that will keep you from gaining weight:

-pray for the courage to change your holiday eating habits.

-work out consistently during this holiday season.

-walk more and/or increase your cardio this holiday season.

-”Right Size” your portions - your eyes really are bigger than your stomach.

-Download the free “help I can’t stop eating” study guide from the free resources section of this website-the study guide is filled with practical tips that i’ve learned along the way.

-focus on friends, families, and the significance of the season.  it’s not all about the food.

-whatever food you eat - ENJOY - no secret eating or “nibbling”.

if you follow the tips outlined above you won’t need a bigger wardrobe on january 1, 2010.  you’ll also gain an increased sense of confidence as your practice discipline and self-control.

He is good and i pray His presence and favor surround you as a shield.

shalom,

monica
