Adultery, Betrayal, and Trauma
one of the most common prayer requests we get at the station is for troubled marriages. the trouble comes in various forms but one of the frequently themes (most unfortunately) is marital unfaithfulness.
finding out that your husband (or wife) has had or is having an affair is the most devastating news that you can receive. there is no easy way to find out and there is no “easy way” to handle it - there is no quick fix. it is not just a matter of saying a prayer and then “forgiving and forgetting”.
nonetheless, God’s grace is sufficient in all things. with more than over 20 years in pastoral ministry and full time ministry i have seen hundreds of couples work through marital unfaithfulness - i’ve also seen hundreds of divorces - and more tears and sobs that i care to remember.
recently, i received an email on this site - a woman whose husband had been unfaithful. she wanted to know what to do. as i said there is no easy answer - or quick fix - there is no “one size fits all christian answer” but in God there are solutions - provisions and brand new starts.
if you or someone you know is in this situation please check out the free resources tab on this website. there is help, scripture and also referrals to other ministries, books and tools that are bible based and will offer the help and hope you need.
from time to time i will be offering free ministry resources to give you the help and hope you need in times of crisis and dilemmas. if you have a bible or “life issue” type of question that you think i can help with please feel free to contact me via this site. i’ll be glad to answer - to pray for you and also to give you a referral if that’s appropriate.
God is good and He wants good for your life. even when things are not working or seem to be falling apart - He is there and will not leave. the good news is His plan will prevail and His plan is always good.

monica
